Young Person's Mental Health Nurse

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a Young Person's Mental Health Nurse within the Lancashire area. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health care and support to children and adolescents, focusing on assessments, hospital discharge planning, and safeguarding referrals. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for young people in your care.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive mental health assessments with children and young people, identifying their needs, risks, and treatment goals.
- Identify and manage safeguarding concerns, making appropriate referrals to social services and relevant agencies, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide ongoing clinical support to young people, including administering medications, providing therapeutic interventions, and monitoring progress.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with professional standards, ensuring that all documentation complies with local guidelines and legal requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
- Must have experience of CAMHS / child protection work
