Service Care Solutions are offering a great opportunity for a Payroll Executive to join an established Finance team, striving for operational excellence in a people focused culture.

The role will be office based and full time, with the option to access remote working solutions after a successful probation period. We are seeking a suitable candidate who can hit the ground running and is up for an exciting and challenging role.

You will have dual responsibility for managing the day-to-day running of our contractor payroll service. This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Executive to join a company who values their employees and rewards for their hard work based in the Preston area.

What does the role involve?

  • Data entry, manage online timesheets and run import routines from various portals.
  • Processing of deemed and PAYE payments, including RTI submissions to HMRC & pension uploads.
  • Dealing with, escalating and managing queries raised by internal/external stakeholders.
  • Resolve contractor and umbrella company queries and disputes in a professional/timely manner.
  • Work towards/achieve team related targets.
  • Monitor any potential issues such as fraudulent timesheets that may put the business reputation at risk or incur costs.
  • Cross training of your duties in the event of emergency cover

What are we looking for?

  • At least 1-2 year’s experience working in Payroll.
  • You’ll be innovative in your way of working, to maximise efficiency across the team and business.
  • You’ll have the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and manage time efficiently all whilst working well under pressure.
  • Be highly organised, able to work using own initiative and the ability to multi-task is a must.
  • You’ll be innovative in your ways or working to create maximum efficiency across the team and business.
  • Experience of Merit Payroll Software or similar is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
