We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team at a primary school on the outskirts of Preston. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing the best possible education for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages pupils to achieve their full potential
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, and provide regular feedback to pupils and parents/carers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Year 1 team and wider school community
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to support personal and professional growth

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 1 or a similar age range
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
