Morson are currently supporting the recruitment of a Project Manager to support weapons systems for one of our defence clients in Warton. Within the Capability Delivery organisation they are currently developing the suite of bids that will make up the programme. Therefore they require a project manager with bid exposure that can manage suppliers, and conduct analysis to be able to create a deliverable piece of work.
The role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis, with the possibility of the role being converted into a permanent position. There is a minimum expectation of 3 days a week on site in Warton and we can pay a rate of £30.43 per hour PAYE or £39.11 per hour Umbrella.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, clearance and negotiation of a suite of Bids
- Develop and agree bid plans, Co-ordinate and drive the SDUs and Suppliers and support internal clearance activities,
- Ensure reporting of New Business status.
- Support internal and external stakeholder management.
- Assist with project delivery by holding regular reviews; ensuring strategic alignment
- Using your strategic problem-solving techniques to help deliver the project to time, cost and quality
Essential Requirements
- Significant Project Management experience demonstrated within a complex business including Earned Value Management.
- Proven understanding of a range of Project Management tools techniques and practices
- Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve business success.
- Lifecycle management experience.
- Experience creating internal packs, going through gates and requesting bid approval.
Desirables
- Experience of operating in a agile/complex Bid Environment of over £1million.
- Good knowledge and experience of PM&C governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and as Assessor of PM&C aspects at LCM Reviews.
- Qualifications e.g., AMP-PMQ.
- Experience of conducting SRA (schedule risk analysis).
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
