About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant secondary school in Preston. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be a key support for students, helping them develop positive behaviours, emotional resilience, and strong learning attitudes. You will work closely with staff and students to address behavioural challenges and create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and group support for students with behavioural challenges.
Develop and implement individual behaviour plans, in collaboration with teachers and SENCO.
Support the school's pastoral team in promoting positive behaviour across the school.
Mentor students in managing their emotions, building resilience, and improving their social skills.
Assist in creating a calm and supportive classroom environment.
Track and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
Build strong relationships with students to encourage trust, respect, and motivation.
What We Are Looking For:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
Strong understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to promoting positive behaviours and supporting students' social and emotional development.
