Halcyon Care North West is proud to be partnering with a local residential support service in search of a Catering Manager. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced catering professional who is committed to providing high-quality food services that meet the diverse needs of our service users, staff, and visitors.

Purpose of the Job:

You will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality catering service that meets the needs of our community, adhering to legislation, CQC Fundamental Standards, and organisational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals from fresh ingredients, accommodating all special dietary requirements with an emphasis on homemade cooking.
  • Develop a varied and balanced menu that supports dietary and healthy eating requirements in consultation with the Registered Manager.
  • Manage proper food handling and storage, ensuring compliance with environmental health, food hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise catering staff, providing support, training, and professional development to ensure a motivated and competent team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen and dining areas, in line with relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Plan and execute catered events, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaise with care staff to ensure seamless integration and communication between care and catering services.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with budgeting for the catering department and maintain accurate records of cash transactions.
  • Attend meetings relevant to the role and contribute to discussions related to residential clients.
