Residential Childcare Practitioner

Location: Kirkham (PR4)
Salary: £34,700 - £35,800 per annum (dependent on qualifications)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, including long shifts and sleep-ins

About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in your care.
  • Work long shifts, including completing sleep-ins, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support the children in achieving positive outcomes through personalised care plans and activities.
  • Promote their emotional, physical, and social development in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to safeguard and enhance the lives of the young people we support.

What Were Looking For

To excel in this role, youll need:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards these.
  • Previous experience in residential childcare or a similar setting is highly desirable.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including long shifts and sleep-ins.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
