Learning Support Assistant - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join one of our excellent schools near to Preston. This is a full time position to start in January.

Ideally, you will have previous experience supporting children with SEN.

Some pupils may present challenging behaviour and so candidates must feel confident in this environment.

THE ROLE:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Hours: 8:30am-4pm (term time only)
  • Type: Full time only
  • Minimum rate of pay: £95 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Contract type: Temporary

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
