About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs. Your role will involve providing tailored support, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver individualized support
  • Assist in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with specific needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Foster social and emotional development through positive reinforcement
  • Help with classroom management and engage students in educational activities
  • Monitor and report pupil progress to teachers and parents/carers
About You:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential)
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
