SEN TA - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, level 2 teaching assistant to join the team in a lovely school near to Preston. Previous experience supporting children with complex needs is essential.

The Role:

  • Preparing learning resources and activities
  • Building rapport with parents, students and other staff members
  • Maintaining regular communication with the class teacher to monitor progress of the pupils
  • Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1-1 basis

Position Details:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:35am-4pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting children with complex needs is essential
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach training would be highly desired
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
