SEN Teaching Assistant - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking experienced teaching assistants to join an excellent school in Preston. You will be supporting children with complex needs on a 1-1 basis.

This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible with a temp-perm contract available for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Preparing learning resources and activities that are individualised to each pupil
  • Working alongside other members of staff to monitor progress of the students
  • Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups

Position Details:

  • Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm

  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £100 per day, depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting SEN in a school setting is essential
  • Any experience of Makaton, Pecs or Sensory Support is highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
