SEN TA - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN on a 1-1 basis at a school near Preston. The successful candidate should have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and be confident in supporting on a 1-1 basis and in small groups. This role is not strictly classroom based so you must be confident supporting both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilites:

  • Supporting children to learn, develop and grow
  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and managing behaviour
  • Preparing the learning environment

Contract Details:

  • Location: Preston
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:30am-3:45pm
  • Minimum rate of pay: £90 per day depending on experience
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding certificate within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold right to work in the UK

Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child related references
