Behaviour Mentor Preston:
Prospero teaching are looking for an experienced behaviour mentor to support young people with additional needs and challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be calm and resilient.
This is a full time position to start as soon as possible and run until the end of the academic year.
The Role:
- Providing opportunities to progress socially, emotionally and academically

- Having an understanding of individual needs
- Offering guidance and mentoring
- Fully compliant in safeguarding procedures
- Providing a safe and encouraging environment to learn
Position Details:
- Location: Preston
- Position: Behaviour Mentor
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:15am-3:15pm
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: After Feb half-term
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Previous experience supporting challenging behaviour
- Team Teach qualification would be highly desired
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional references.
