The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and site's supply chain and logistics performance in order to maximise process efficiency and productivity. This role is based in Lancashire, and will play a vital role in developing the site capability and support the growth.

Description

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will

  • Oversee, manage, and support a team to build further engage, capability, and performance
  • Review the overall inbound supply chain and logistics strategy and operations, highlighting opportunities. The emphasis will be on the production plan / master schedule to ensure material flow and inventory levels are optimised
  • Plan, implement and monitor the company's supply chain performance in order to ensure process efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and the Customers to ensure the supply chain is delivering what it actually needed
  • Manage and build partnerships with suppliers, understanding capacity, lead-times, and risk
  • Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the ERP system, SAP , is utilised effectively, and drives the right actions / behaviours
  • Implement new operational strategies as the procurement and supply chain landscape evolves.

Profile

A successful Supply Chain Manager should have:

  • A strong background in the industrial / manufacturing industry in a regulated environment
  • As well as being a proven leader, be able to demonstrate a broad supply chain knowledge, and have production planning as a core skill set
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management.
  • Ideally proficiency in using SAP
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
