Venn Group have been approached by a Housing Association and would like to introduce the following position available

Position:          Housing Support Worker 

Location:         Preston or Clitheroe 

Rate:                £15.00 - £17.00 p/hour (Umbrella Rate) 

Length:            3 months with chance of extension

Hours:              36 hours p/week, 8am – 8pm (Occasional weekends)  

The role will predominantly involve:

  • Providing a comprehensive support service to a young persons (16 – 19-year-olds) and families client group in a supported accommodation setting
  • Creating and updating assessment of clients support needs and any associated risk
  • Setting agreed goals with clients in order from them to maintain their independence and working with clients and other agencies where necessary to ensure they are achieved
  • Cleaning / touching up the building in relation to its maintenance
  • Turning void rooms around
  • Advising clients of their benefit and welfare entitlement and offering advice and guidance on budgeting issues
  • Supporting clients with other life skills such as cooking

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in working in a similar role and be available to start within one week notice and have a current Enhanced DBS certificate
