iMultiply is delighted to be supporting CJM Financial Management in the recruitment of a Business Advisory Consultant.CJM is a key player in driving Scotland’s economic growth. With a deep understanding of the Scottish Economic Ecosystem, they collaborate with development organisations across the nation, from Dumfries and Galloway to the Western Isles, providing expert support through business frameworks, skills training, tailored growth programs, and strategic consultancy.

CJM work with startups, growing businesses, and Third Sector organisations, offering workshops, expert advice, and sector-specific interventions across various disciplines, including financial management, HR, web strategies, and marketing.?The business is seeking an experienced Accountant with expertise in Xero, a strong practice accountancy background, and exceptional financial project management skills. This role requires strategic thinking and the ability to provide expert support to diverse clients

Key Responsibilities:

Charity Accountancy (20%)

  • Support the preparation and submission of charity accounts via IRIS.

  • Mentor and assist our Charity Trainee Accountant to deliver accountancy services.

Virtual Financial Director Role (20%)

  • Act as a strategic financial advisor and thought leader for client boards.

  • Provide financial management expertise, reporting support, and strategic direction to clients.

Xero Expertise and Training (40%)

  • Deliver in-depth Xero training to growth businesses, both face-to-face and remotely.

  • Help clients optimise their use of Xero and enhance financial management and reporting.

  • Provide consultancy to evaluate and implement financial systems, emphasising Xero.

Business Planning and Financial Forecasting (20%)

  • Develop and submit cash flow forecasts, funding strategies, and business plans.

  • Support economic development initiatives by creating robust financial strategies and options appraisals.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Good secondary education; minimum P/Q Accountant qualification.

  • Strong practice accountancy background.

  • Proficient in Xero with proven systems implementation and support experience.

  • Solid financial project management expertise.

??Additional Information:

  • Some travel across Scotland is required; a valid driving license is essential (travel expenses covered).

  • Webinars and remote tools will be used when possible to deliver training and support.
