Business Development Officer – From £30,000 – Prudhoe (Hybrid Working)

The Role

Do you have exceptional communication skills? Are you ready to drive sales and grow new business opportunities? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team. You'll play a key role in expanding our market presence, identifying new opportunities, and building lasting relationships with clients.

As a Business Development Officer, you will:

  • Identify and research potential markets and clients.
  • Develop strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales targets.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Note: Working hours are Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying Opportunities:

  • Conduct market research and analyse industry trends.
  • Pursue target markets to generate leads.

Customer Relationships:

  • Build and sustain strong client relationships.
  • Attend networking events to expand connections.

Sales Growth:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue targets through upselling and cross-selling.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with Sales Admin and Accounts teams.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings to align on goals.

The Company

Norseal is a specialist wholesale distributor of intumescent fire and smoke seals. Our products protect to the highest standard against fire, excess noise, smoke and personal injury. Norseal also stock and distribute a wide range of ancillary door products, including the highly reputable Norsound acoustic seal solutions, plus a large range of fire rated glazing, electrical plumbing solutions, fire rated ventilation, letter plates, door viewers, threshold plates, weather seals and finger protection products.

The Person

We're looking for someone who:

Experience in the Door Manufacturing or Architectural Ironmongery sector is a plus but not essential.
