Description
- Provide commercial and financial advice to support business decisions.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities for categories through central management so that teams across commercial finance can respond to them on a timely basis.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators.
- Prepare and present financial and non-financial information for management meetings.
- Accurate and timely delivery of commercial margin and associated controls on a weekly / periodic basis.
- Perform control requirements around key focus areas impacting the commercial P&L
- Support in delivery of projects that have an impact on commercial margin.
- Manage and enhance financial systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial policies.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Profile
A successful 'Commercial Accountant' should have:
- A recognised professional qualification in accounting or finance. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems.
- The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
