Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (Ducting Specialist)
Job Location: Leeds
Pay Range: £14ph - £16ph DOE
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours – Mon – Fri (7am – 3pm)
We are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with a strong background in ductwork fabrication to join our clients team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a reliable business in the HVAC and ventilation sector.
You will be fabricating ducting components for commercial and industrial ventilation systems, working from technical drawings to produce high-quality, custom pieces in our fully equipped workshop.
What you’ll be doing:
- Fabricate rectangular, spiral, and custom ductwork to specification
- Operate guillotines, folding machines, notching tools, plasma cutters, and other workshop machinery
- Read and interpret HVAC ducting drawings and layout plans
- Assemble components with spot welding, riveting, or mechanical fixings
- Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards before dispatch
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Work alongside other fabricators, installers, and project managers to meet deadlines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, specifically ductwork
- Ability to work with 0.7mm – 1mm
- Thin Guage Ductwork experience is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret ducting drawings, specifications, and job sheets
- Skilled in the use of fabrication machines and hand tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships in fabrication or HVAC
