Senior Accounts Assistant - Pulborough - Hybrid

My client is a dynamic, fast-moving leading communications supplier based in Pulborough who provide voice, data and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish and Benelux business markets. They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team.

Reporting into the Finance Director, The main focus of the role will be to support in all aspects of Finance and the related systems to ensure the efficient operation of the Finance Department. Responsibilities will include; journal posting, account reconciliations, invoicing, and bank monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to drive significant change in streamlining processes and improving data accuracy, supporting enhanced analysis and business insight.

Day to day duties will include

  • Carry out day to day/ weekly financial tasks, daily reconciliations for Bank, raising credit notes, refunds, journal entries.
  • Credit control. Be responsible for customer payments in a timely manner
  • Banking + cashflow monitoring
  • Supporting the month-end cycle ensuring that all designated tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Management of direct debit process
  • Commission calculations

My client is seeking a diligent, organised, proactive character with a personable approach and strong teamwork ethic who is able to hit the ground running, be able to own the process and prioritise work loads. Candidates will require 4+ years experience in a similar role or be AAT Level 3+ Qualified or QBE.

Ideally you will have

  • Financial analysis and reconciliation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet multiple deadlines
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, with equal ability to work independently where required
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 4+ Years Experience working within a Finance Team with good understanding of bookkeeping
  • IT Literacy, including Excel
  • Experience of Sage 50
  • Due to location of office, recommended to be a driver
