Structural and Forensic Engineers, Surveyors and Project Management company based in Surrey are seeking an additional engineer/surveyor to join their team. Working on mainly insurance claims at domestic properties for incidents such as fire, floods, and subsidence as a Structural Engineer or Surveyor you will be expected to carry out site visits specifying and overseeing repairs to properties covering a large geographic area from Northampton to the South Coast, with occasional over nights stays if covering Devon and Cornwall. You are likely to be out on the road 3 days per week with the remaining 2 days in the office based in Surrey.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience as an engineer or surveyor dealing with insurance related losses. Ideally you will be chartered, but may also consider candidates who are not, but possess the right level of experience. You must have good communication skills and when undertaking initial visits they would have to be able to discuss with the home owner what has happened, repairs to be undertaken, process to be adopted etc.

Candidates must have knowledge of CDM Regulations, with the ability to work under pressure and have good organisation skills. Finally you must be able to draw up detailed schedule of works together with accompanying drawings and provide written detailed reports explaining issues with properties to both home owners and insurers.
