Data Analyst - Construction Business (West Sussex)

Role Overview

Talented People Solutions is seeking a Data Analyst to join a well-established construction company based in West Sussex. This is a temporary position with a likely extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for visualising, automating, and reporting on complex datasets. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Power Automate to help manage and streamline the reporting processes. This is an immediate start, so we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visualise and analyse data to generate actionable insights.
  • Automate reports using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline workflows.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of automated reports using a combination of Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
  • Work with the manager to address any ongoing projects and assist in resolving the backlog of reports and data.
  • Support project teams with data-driven insights as needed during the interim period.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables, data analysis tools).
  • Proficiency in Power BI to build dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
  • Experience with SQL for querying databases and processing data.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Power Automate for automating repetitive tasks and report generation.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, concise reports.
  • Prior experience working in data-driven roles within similar industries (construction or other project-based environments) would be advantageous.
