Audit Manager Permanent Based in West Sussex (with parking options) Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office£55,000 - £65,000 plus further benefits and progression

Tony Alan Recruitment is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join busy team to work for a rapidly growing accountancy firm in West Sussex area on a permanent contract.

You will be working on a diverse portfolio of clients consisting of differing sizes and within a range of various industries. You will want to work as part of a team, but also be able to work independently, be proactive and a confident communicator with a proven track record of working to deadlines. This is a client facing role.

You will be responsible for managing client audit engagements across a wide variety of sectors including charities, independent schools and owner managed businesses. All include groups and consolidated accounts. You will lead planning (including client meetings), review of audit files and statutory accounts as well as supervising and supporting colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform audits of larger, complex audit clients and/or work on more complex technical audit matters with the audit partner
  • Ability to identify, research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions
  • Work closely with, and providing pro-active support to the partners
  • Management and prioritisation of own work and assignments to deadlines and budget
  • Maintain audit quality standards as required by Audit Regulations and TC internal policies
  • Pro-active dedication to professional growth through training and experience opportunities
  • Deliver excellent client service
  • Build relationships with clients and related third parties

Key Skills:

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or Finalist
  • Minimum 3 years relevant accountancy practice experience
  • Significant client facing audit experience, including group audits
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and auditing skills
  • Experience of using audit software and statutory accounts software
  • Highly personable with excellent communication skills
