Head of Finance

Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a hands-on Head of Finance with marketing agency experience to join a growing SME in West Sussex.

Reporting to the MD, this role will deliver on year-end accounts, annual budgets and forecasts, and oversee revenue recognition.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing income recognition, manage accrued and deferred income, profit analysis and pensions management
• Lead and deliver on year-end accounts, annual budgets, quarterly budgets, and forecasting
• Manage payroll, set KPIs, ensure tax and VAT compliance
• Manage monthly cash flow, major expenditures, supplier management, and income tracking
• Manage the time-based costing system

The successful candidate must be

• Fully Qualified Accountant with 3+ years experience in a marketing agency (essential).

• Must be very hands-on – happy in the detail of producing monthly management accounts, payroll review, and understand operational finance (essential)
• Experience with time-based marketing agency software (essential)
• Live locally (able to be in the West Sussex office 3 days per week) (essential)
