Job Overview

As a School IT Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and development of the school's IT infrastructure. You will provide technical support for both hardware and software, ensure the smooth running of all IT systems, and work closely with teachers and staff to enhance the use of technology within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to staff and students.
  • Maintain and undertake repairs on IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, iPads and printers.
  • Support the installation, configuration and updating of software and systems.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of classroom technology, such as interactive whiteboards.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to various systems.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and networking systems.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
