Payroll Assistant
Up to £32,000
West Sussex - Hybrid working
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly basis
- Maintain employee records and ensure accurate data entry
- Calculate statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP
- Support with payroll queries from employees
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with audits
- Liaise with HMRC and stay up to date on legislative changes
About You:
- Previous experience in a payroll position (in-house or bureau)
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using payroll systems and Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
