This role is vital in ensuring the timely order placement, supply, and expedition of raw materials, assemblies, and support services, which are crucial to maintain production levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and distribution of weekly expedite reports to selected supply chain partners
  • Analysis of exception messages from ERP system and placement of purchase orders to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery
  • Preparation of document packs (electronic) in support of custom part order needs
  • Management of selected suppliers to control inventories and ensure timely flow of materials
  • Development and maintenance of working knowledge of commodities and associated supplier base
  • Implementation of process improvements as necessary
  • Adherence to the company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems
  • Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in supply chain control and purchasing
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with the MS Office suite; advanced analytical skills are a plus
  • Experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts is desirable
  • Integrity and ethical practice in all situations, with respect for all individuals regardless of their status or position
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness while dealing with job challenges and conflicting information
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to show good judgment
  • Motivated by results and persistent in achieving goals
