Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Gatwick Airport, Sussex
Salary: 60,000 to 80,000 + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading cost and project management consultancy working at Gatwick Airport in Sussex. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of a small yet busy team carrying out a variety of pre and post contract duties on infrastructure and civil engineering projects valued between 5m and 20m.

Key Responsibilities

Take a lead role on cost estimation, budgets and the procurement process to ensure projects are delivered within financial expectations
Manage contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with the agreed terms
Work closely with the site project teams to monitor progress and implement cost effective solutions where required
Build long lasting, trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders and suppliers

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
Minimum of 8 years experience in Quantity Surveying with a focus on infrastructure projects
An in depth understanding of the NEC Contract
Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
Working towards chartered status with the RICS or ICES
Candidates with experience of CEMAR will be at an advantage
