Temporary Accommodation Officer

A Local Authority in West Sussex is looking for an experienced Temporary Accommodation Officer to join their team for at least three months. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that temporary accommodation is suitable, well-managed, and that individuals in need receive the support necessary to transition into long-term housing.

This role involves working three days a week in the office, offering flexibility alongside a highly competitive rate. You will be responsible for securing and maintaining good relationships with temporary accommodation providers, conducting property inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting tenants in sustaining their accommodation. The role also requires proactive involvement in tenancy sustainment, benefit applications, safeguarding, and homelessness prevention.
