We are currently seeking an Online Lecturer to deliver courses in Electrical Power Engineering, specifically covering the City and Guilds 2304 qualification. This temporary position is to provide cover due to the ill health of a staff member. The role involves teaching online via MSTeams on Mondays and Fridays, with a total of 13 hours of teaching time and 17 hours paid per week.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver online lectures on Mondays (09:00am - 12:15pm and 13:00pm - 16:15pm) and Fridays (07:30am - 10:45am and 11:45am - 15:00pm).
  • Cover the City and Guilds 2304 qualification, focusing on Unit 263 (Power engineering electrical networks, plant, and apparatus) and Unit 264 (Power engineering: cables, substations, and overhead lines).
  • Engage students through interactive and informative sessions that meet the curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and tests.
  • Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Power Engineering.
  • Experience in teaching the City and Guilds 2304 qualification or similar courses.
  • Proficient in using MSTeams and other online teaching platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
