We are actively recruiting a job role for a modern firm of accountants, who are looking for a Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant / Client Manager. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason. The firm are open on hiring for either part-time or full-time hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accounts and tax returns.
  • First point of contact for a portfolio of clients;
  • Prepares accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns, to director review stage;
  • Liaises directly with clients to ensure we have all information to prepare accounts, and to address any queries or questions that come to light;
  • Assists various clients with their bookkeeping and VAT Returns;
  • Manages billing and work-in-progress for the portfolio;
  • Takes responsibility for workflow to ensure turnaround targets met;
  • Carries out any other reasonable task required from time to time;

Requirements:

  • You may be looking to embark on or continue with the ICAEW/ACCA qualification, although this is not essential.
  • Will possess a high level of IT proficiency and the ability to use various packages.
  • It is essential that you have recent experience within a UK accountancy practice environment (minimum 1 year).
