Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedQuality ManagerorQuality Engineerwith ametallurgy backgroundto join a leading manufacturing company. This role will be integral in ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of metal components, with a particular focus on aerospace manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar quality management role, with the ability to manage a small team and drive improvements within the quality assurance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the quality control processes for metal products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, includingAS9100and other.
Oversee and mentor a small team of quality engineers and inspectors, providing guidance on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and professional development.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to ensure adherence to quality standards, improving efficiency and reducing defects.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and product quality.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and customer specifications.
Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure consistent product performance.
Manage customer complaints and quality feedback, leading investigations and resolutions in a timely and professional manner.

Candidate Requirements:

Education:Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of3-5 years of experiencein aquality managementorquality engineeringrole withinmanufacturing, with a strong focus on metals.
Previous experience in theaerospace industryor working withaerospace-grade metalsis highly desirable.
Experience in managing asmall teamand driving continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Skills:
Strong knowledge ofmetallurgical processesandmetal testingtechniques (e.g., tensile testing, hardness testing, NDT).
Familiarity with quality management systems, such asISO 9001,AS9100, and other aerospace-related standards.
Proven ability to performroot cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and manage audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
