An esteemed educational institution in Newbury is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality psychological education and fostering a positive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of one’s students.
Provide appropriate feedback on work.
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the institution.
Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Psychology Teacher in the UK.
Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and educational system.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Energy, enthusiasm, stamina, patience, dedication, resilience and self-discipline.
Initiative, leadership and supervisory skills and teamworking abilities.
Imagination, creativity and a sense of humour.
