An esteemed educational institution in Newbury is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teacher to join their team immediately. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality psychological education and fostering a positive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of one’s students.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the institution.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Psychology Teacher in the UK.
  • Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and educational system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, stamina, patience, dedication, resilience and self-discipline.
  • Initiative, leadership and supervisory skills and teamworking abilities.
  • Imagination, creativity and a sense of humour.
