We are currently seeking an experienced History Teacher to join a secondary school in the borough of Waltham Forest. You will take full responsibility for teaching History and creating an engaging, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment that helps students develop a love for the subject. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated History teacher who is committed to student progress and achievement.

Key Responsibilities for History Teacher:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality History lessons aligned with the school curriculum
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a respectful and focused atmosphere
Monitor, track, and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular initiatives
Engage students in discussions, projects, and historical enquiry that develop critical thinking
Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required
Uphold and promote the school's ethos and values
Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students

To be considered for this role, you will:

Hold QTS
Have proven experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
Possess strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board specifications
Demonstrate high expectations for student learning and behaviour
Be a collaborative team player, able to work effectively with colleagues
Have the ability to inspire and motivate students, helping them reach their potential
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
