Our engineering client is looking for an Operations Administrator

Location: Queenborough

Salary Range: 21,000+ depending on skills and experience

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, ideally 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM

6 hours per day, start time negotiable

Occasional flexibility is required during busy periods

Employment Type: Office-based, part-time, 30 hours/week

Operations Administrator Job Summary:

The Operations Administrator will process customer orders, coordinate product deliveries, and ensure smooth workflows between departments. This role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals who take initiative and provide excellent customer service.

Operations Administrator duties:

  • Enter customer orders into the system and make sure they meet customer needs
  • Keep clear records of all purchase orders
  • Update customer pricing agreements
  • Create work orders in the system and track their progress
  • Work with production manager to schedule work
  • Help plan production schedules
  • Support quality control
  • Order materials needed for production
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels
  • Help with regular stock checks
  • Find ways to make processes work better
  • Help with quality improvement projects
  • Be the primary contact for customers about their purchase orders
  • Keep customers updated about their orders and delivery
  • Spot and fix problems before they affect customers
  • Keep good records of customer requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in business administration, manufacturing operations, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience using ERP systems and handling customer order fulfilment
  • Good knowledge of production planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
