Teaching Assistant - Radstock

Job title: Teaching Assistant

Somerset Education Alliance, a supply teacher employment business in it's 10th year of establishment are looking for people to fill wonderful Teaching Assistant ad hoc supply vacancies in the Radstock area.

We cover day to day, short term and long-term supply, and are always on the look out for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs and teaching assistants to join our team for opportunties in Radstock and the surrounding areas.

Please note: Our standard daily pay rate as a supply teacher recruitment business is £85 for teaching assistants and £95 for SEN teaching assistants. Previous experience working with children preferably in a classroom setting is necessary but no formal qualifications are required. For longer term placements with additional responsibilities, daily pay rate for a teaching assistant could be negotiated up to £100, at the discretion of school budgets.

Part time and full time applicants are encouraged to join!

The Job Role

We are looking for passionate and driven teaching support staff to join our team for supply teaching assistant assignments in and around the Radstock area.

To cover day to day, long-term, short-term, and permanent positions in a variety of educational settings. Flexible working hours available, accommodating full or part-time working.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

- Supporting the class teacher

- Following safeguarding and school policies

- working 1:1 or with whole classes

- Liaising with school staff

Teaching Assistant Essentials

- Previous experience working alongside children

- Knowledge of the curriculum

- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)

- A 3 year minimum reference history

- Reliability

- Excellent communication skills
