The Role:

I am on the lookout for a dedicated and innovative Hardware Manager to lead a forward thinking Hardware Development Team within the Transceivers Division.

In this pivotal role, you will foster a high-performance culture that propels my clients vision of becoming the global leader in maritime surveillance, management, safety, and navigation technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Lead the creation of embedded electronics for transceivers.
  • Strategic Leadership: Set and execute hardware development strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Software and Test Managers to meet customer expectations.
  • Team Development: Build and guide a top-tier hardware design team.
  • Innovation & Growth: Apply new technologies to solve complex challenges.
  • Process Excellence: Implement best practices in hardware development.
  • Cultural Ambassador: Promote the company's core values.
  • Talent Management: Attract, mentor, and retain a high-performing team.
  • Product Management Collaboration: Partner with Product Management to deliver top-notch transceivers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including the ability to attract, mentor, and inspire exceptional engineers.
  • Experience overseeing product development from concept through to design, prototyping, new product introduction in a high-tech volume manufacturing environment, and ongoing product maintenance.
  • Strong collaboration with internal embedded software engineers.
  • Experience managing outsourced mechanical design teams.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics design, including digital and analogue circuit design, schematic capture, and multilayer PCB design.
  • At least 4 years in a technical leadership role, with responsibilities including recruitment and performance management of engineers, as well as technical decision-making.
  • Desirable experience in developing RF electronics.
  • Desirable experience in high-volume low-power consumer electronics products, including mechanical enclosures, plastics tooling, and production.
  • Desirable experience working with embedded software, RTOS, and microprocessors.
