Reach Truck Driver

Job description

Evoke Staffing are pleased to be seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator, on behalf of our client, based in Rainham, Essex.

As a Reach Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks to move, locate, and relocate materials within the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will be available immediately, and will hold a valid RTITB accredited D2 licence, with a minimum of one years experience in a similar role

Job Specifics

• Pay -12.50 per hour, to be paid every Friday
• 09:00-18:30
• Monday to Friday (occasional shifts on a Saturday may be required on an as and when basis)

Duties

• Load and unload goods from lorries and containers using forklifts.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation of materials handled.
• Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required.
• Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory levels and movements.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure operational safety.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Skills

• Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurement and counting of materials.
• Experience in heavy lifting and physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within a busy warehouse setting.
