Are you a dedicated and passionate SENDCO looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our secondary school in Rainham is seeking an exceptional Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCO) to join our team and lead the provision for students with additional needs.

Our mission is to 'inspire learners and change lives' - and that includes our staff. We aim to empower our teams so pupils become kind, confident, and impactful world citizens - 'participants, not bystanders.' To help us achieve this, we wish to appoint a highly skilled and experienced SENDCO to drive excellence in SEND provision.

The Role - SENDCO
  • Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school in Rainham.

  • Ensure all statutory obligations regarding SEND students are met.

  • Oversee the quality assurance of all SEND and learning support programs.

  • Support and manage a growing team of Learning Support colleagues.

  • Ensure access to the curriculum is inclusive and effective for all students.

  • Manage SEND resources, information, and budgets where applicable.

What We're Looking For:
  • A qualified SENDCO who holds or is currently working towards the National Award for Special Educational Needs.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement an effective SEN policy.

  • A passion for ensuring every student reaches their full potential.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and parents.

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Salary: £36,413 - £53,994 (Main/Upper Pay Scale) + TLR 1B (£12,033) (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

  • Location:Rainham
