Hours - 8am - 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday is 8am - 3.30pm

If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate for a Mechanical Fitter to work for one of our clients who is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

As the Mechanical Fitter your responsibilities would include

  • Disassemble, assemble, and test hydraulic/mechanical components, supporting test engineers and completing documentation.
  • Interpret technical data, diagnose faults, and identify component wear, damage, or corrosion.
  • Use precise calibrated measuring equipment and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, and follow quality standards according to CAA, EASA, FAA, and company procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations or business needs.

Person specification for the role of Mechanical Fitter:

  • Background in mechanical/hydraulic engineering (graduates considered)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills - minimum GCSE in both
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills both written and verbal
  • Well-organised and self-motivated
