Hydraulic/Mechanical Component Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated technician to join our team, specialising in the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of hydraulic and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Break down hydraulic and mechanical components to their individual parts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections, including:
    • Interpreting technical data.
    • Diagnosing faults.
    • Identifying wear, damage, or corrosion on components.
    • Using precise calibrated measuring tools.
    • Completing computer-generated documentation accurately.
  • Reassemble various hydraulic and mechanical assemblies based on technical specifications, preparing them for final testing and inspection.
  • Assist the test bay engineer with testing hydraulic and pneumatic units according to test procedures, and complete test reports.
  • Adhere to and implement all standard operating practices and procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety standards.
  • Ensure that all work meets the quality standards set by CAA, EASA, FAA, and company procedures.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other tasks as required by operations or business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in mechanical or hydraulic engineering.
  • Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
    • Ability to interpret and follow detailed compliance manuals.
    • Capability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
    • Effective teamwork in cross-functional teams.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
  • Friday: 08:00 - 15:45
