- Salary: 160.00 to 250.00 per day (In line with your current pay scale)
- Contract: Temporary until the end of the current academic year, with the potential for a permanent position starting September 2025.
Teacher of English - Thanet
Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a vibrant and supportive academy in Thanet who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for English and helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 and KS4).
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic and personal growth.
- Assess, track, and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their best.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the English department.
- Support students' pastoral development and well-being.
About You:
- A qualified teacher with a degree in English (or related subject) and a recognised UK teaching qualification.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (desirable, but not essential).
