Whats the role?
Youll manage a Children & Families caseload, including complex and diverse cases. From assessments and planning to implementing actions and attending court, youll ensure children and families receive the tailored support they need.
Youll work closely with parents, carers, and key agencies across statutory, voluntary, and private sectors to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex cases involving assessments, reviews, and care planning.
Collaborate with families and partner organisations to deliver effective solutions.
Maintain accurate records in line with organisational systems.
Stay updated on legislation and policies, applying them to your work with children in need, child protection, and looked-after children.
Complete the ASYE standard (if required) within two years of qualifying.
What youll bring to the role:
Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Proven experience managing Children & Families caseloads and using systemic practices (e.g., Signs of Safety).
Skills: Exceptional communication, report writing, and organisational skills.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of child development, family court processes, and frameworks such as the Assessment Framework.
