Social WorkerLocation: South East EnglandSalary: £17.07 - £19.33 per hourMyn is recruiting for a long-term client, looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join their Specialist Children’s Services team. This role is perfect for someone in their early career looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.The Role:You will manage a varied caseload within Children & Families services, including complex and diverse cases. This involves assessments, planning, and the preparation of welfare reports, sometimes involving court attendance. You’ll work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure positive outcomes for the children and families under your care.Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing a caseload in line with the Social Care Capability Framework (SCCF).
  • Conducting assessments and reviews, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
  • Building partnerships with statutory agencies, voluntary and private sector services.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and local policies, particularly around Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
  • Attending training to maintain HCPC and SCCF requirements.
What You’ll Need:
  • A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, particularly for Looked After Children and Child Protection.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with professionals from different sectors.
  • Commitment to completing the ASYE standard within 2 years of qualification.
