An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care Home Manager to lead the teams and deliver outstanding care to the people living at our Sweyne Court Care Home in Rayleigh, Essex.

An award-winning, bright and cosy home with a warm and friendly atmosphere close to the bustling Essex town of Rayleigh, just 7 miles from Southend-on-Sea, with lovely grounds and delightful views of the surrounding countryside. Sweyne Court is a 43 bed residential home currently rated ‘GOOD’ by CQC and is part of the Excelcare portfolio – a privately owned care home group established for over 34 years.

About the role of Care Home Manager

  • Experienced within a care home setting for older people.
  • Passion and drive to always deliver high quality, ‘outstanding’ care.
  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager leading and developing strong teams.
  • Sound knowledge of CQC Regulations and legislation
  • Actively recruit new team members to ensure that the home has sufficient, suitably qualified staff members to cover at all times and avoid the need for using agency.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound business acumen and experience in managing budgets and marketing.
