Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is recruiting a General Manager / Hotel Manager for this recently refurbished 3/4-star hotel near Reading, catering for the busy M4 business corridor area. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Hotel Manager to oversee all aspects of this 80-bedroom property, which also features a busy Conference & Banqueting (C&B) operation, a vibrant restaurant, and a bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and support to all HODs.
  • Reporting to a Group General Manager.
  • Management reporting.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all Hotel operations.
  • Ensure a consistent first-class service to hotel guests and ensure that company standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure all sales activity is monitored in line with company policy.
  • Monitor key departmental controls.
  • Monitor and comply with all company and legal statutory requirements.
  • Support the hotel in the achievement/maintenance of quality awards such as Investors in People.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as General Manager, Hotel Manager or Operations Manager in similar-sized branded or independent hotel operations.
  • Stable career history
