This is a key role, supporting the business in the management of their property accounting. You will partner closely with different stakeholders and provide monthly and quarterly insights, advice and guidance.
Financial Accountant – Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely recording of lease transactions and maintenance of lease schedules.
- Calculation and recording of lease liabilities, right-of-use asset values, and amortization expenses.
- Preparation and reconciliation of journal entries related to lease transactions.
- Contribution to the preparation of financial statements and related lease disclosures
- Adhere to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards
- Analysis of lease contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather and verify lease information.
- Support for lease audits and reviews
- Stay abreast of lease accounting changes and industry best practices
Financial Accountant – Requirements
- Qualified ACA or ACCA
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, preferably with an understanding of IFRS16
- Experience of working in either industry or making a first move from practice
- Strong communicator
Financial Accountant – The Package
- Salary £55,000 – 65,000 (depending on experience)
