Production Quality Engineer
Near Reading
Circa £42k + Bonus + Benefits

We are looking for a hands-on quality engineer with expertise to ensure products and services meet customer requirements. Youll be responsible for facilitating, training and supporting the business in the deployment of quality improvement initiatives.

Other key areas include:
Manage KPI's and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximise success.
Ensure supplier quality excellence, supporting purchasing and inspection and ensuring quality excellence is carried out within production and new product designs.
Aid productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduced waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.

There might be the occasional trip to see a supplier but the work will mainly be onsite and the design and production facility.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
IT literate, proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Practical knowledge of IPC Standards.
Proven experience of Production Quality Engineering and Control within a Manufacturing environment.
Experience of process management.
Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the automotive, electronics or defence/aerospace industries.
Experience in quality environments within engineering, manufacturing, marine or defence sectors.

Desirable:
Experienced in supplier development.
Experienced practitioner in application of quality improvement tools.
Supplier quality assurance experience.
Awareness of or experience with SharePoint
Auditor Certified preferred but not essential.
Bachelors degree in engineering, prefer Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical.
Member of the CQI.
