Our client, a leading company in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager to join their successful team based in the Thames Valley region. This is a permanent, full-time role that combines home and site attendance, offering a mix of projects from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the design process for water and wastewater projects
- Ensure design quality control processes are adhered to
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver designs effectively
- Deliver designs and tenders that meet program, budget, and quality requirements
- Adapt to changing scenarios and maintain a proactive approach
- Understand and manage responsibilities under CDM regulations
Job Requirements:
- Qualified design engineer with academic credentials
- Chartered or working towards chartership
- Experience in managing design quality control processes
- Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary and diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Understanding of CDM regulations and responsibilities
